Our tool uses a multi-step step-down algorithm: images are reduced by 40% at a time until approaching the target size, then finished with a final precise resize. This matches the quality of professional tools like Photoshop's Bicubic Sharper algorithm.

Will resizing an image reduce its quality?
Downscaling always involves some data reduction — you are representing fewer pixels — but with a high-quality algorithm the result is visually sharp and clean. Upscaling cannot add information that wasn't there originally, but our smooth interpolation prevents pixelation. For critical work, always start from the highest resolution original.
What is the maximum size I can resize to?
The tool supports up to 8000×8000 pixels output. Creating very large images (above 4000×4000) may take a few seconds as the browser processes the canvas. If your browser tab becomes unresponsive briefly for large output sizes, this is normal — wait a moment and the download will complete.
