About PDF Merging

This tool uses Mozilla's PDF.js to render each page of every PDF, then rebuilds a combined document using jsPDF. Because the PDFs are re-rendered rather than directly concatenated at the binary level, the output is always a clean, valid PDF regardless of how the input files were created.

Are there any limitations to the PDF merger?
Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged — you will need to remove the password protection first. PDFs with interactive form fields will lose their interactivity since the pages are re-rendered as images. For merging simple document and scan PDFs, the tool works perfectly. Maximum is 10 files with up to 20 MB each.
Will the merged PDF be searchable?
Currently the merger renders pages as images, so the output PDF will not be text-searchable (OCR). The pages look visually identical to the originals. For searchable text PDFs, the source PDFs must already be text-based (not scanned images), and a server-side PDF library would be needed for true text layer merging — which would require uploading your files.
